One Central Park

The two towers have received a 5-star Green Star rating for both the design and the building, making One Central Park the largest multi-residential building in Australia to receive this certification. The project notably uses hydroponic and heliostat technologies, in which sunlight and vertical gardens play a key role in heating and lighting. Equipped with a low-carbon power plant and an advanced internal water recycling system, the building uses 25% less energy than a conventional building of similar size. The vertical garden covers 50% of the building’s façade and include 250 species of native Australian flowers and plants.

In 2014, the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) awarded One Central Park the ‘Best Tall Building – Worldwide’ and ‘Innovation’ awards. Other awards include “Best Innovative Green Building” at the 2015 MIPIM Awards, Overall winner of the 2014 LEAF Awards, and winner of the 2014 World Green Infrastructure Award.
